A Summers Day in November ... The Skerries

With a stunning blue sky forecast Tavi was in the right place, at the right time and keen for a paddle to The Skerries.  After some initial planning over a coffee, we headed off to join the ebbing tide for a ride out, using transits and dissecting angles.  It was super calm and warm!

We worked out way out to the cardinal marks ...

On the main approach now ...

And decided to have a short play, before landing for some lunch ...

It was a classic paddle on a classic day ...

We walked up to the lighthouse, for a view and to have some lunch ... looking across to North Stack, with South stack also in view ..

After a leisurely lunch we jumped back on for a solid ferry glide back to the main land ...

Taking in a cave or two on the way ... two close porpoise sightings, as we eddy hoped our way back up to Cemlyn Bay.  The sun had begun to set and brought a natural end to a super summer kind of day ...
